Pre-production inspection (PPI)
This process is carried out at the beginning of the production line and is based on the customer’s specifications and reference sample. The initial production check allows an early (and thus cost-saving) prevention of defective components as timely corrections if needed.
Main check point for PPI:
l Check the quantity, production capacity and monitor the production schedule.
l Check the quality of raw materials.
l Check the first-piece units if match with product specifications and/or packaging and/or marking.
l Evaluate the production line running.
l Ensure the calibration and accuracy of the equipment.
l Give advices improve product quality and minimize defects.
l Verify material/units if match related standards of import country.
